Pause your gifts first
Before you uninstall, select Pause all gifts on the app's home page.
When you uninstall, Shopify deletes the app's gift discounts and the checkout safety check stops, so a gift still in a shopper's cart is charged at its normal price.
What stays in your store
- The app embed and progress blocks stop showing on your store. Shopify leaves their entries in your theme, where they do nothing.
- Your gift products are your own products and stay in your store.
- Orders already placed are not changed.
Carts that still hold a gift
A cart that a shopper does not open again after you pause or delete a gift can still hold that gift. While the app is installed, the gift is no longer free and checkout asks the shopper to remove it. After you uninstall, nothing checks it and it is charged at its normal price.
