This policy covers the Peelstack Label Maker add-on for Google Sheets™ and Google Docs™ and this website. Peelstack Label Maker is sold under the Taskivator trading name ("we", "us"). Privacy questions, personal data requests, and requests for the seller's legal name and business contact details may be sent to peelstack@taskivator.com. Requested seller information will be provided without delay.
What the add-on can access
When you install the add-on, Google asks you to allow these permissions. This is the complete list; the add-on asks for nothing else.
- The spreadsheet you have the add-on open in. We read the rows you choose to print, as the sheet shows them. We write to it only when you click "Add sample addresses", which adds a new tab. (
spreadsheets.currentonly) - Only the Google Drive files you use with the add-on: files it creates because you asked it to. It cannot see any other file in your Drive. (
drive.file) - Show the add-on window: the sidebar and dialogs inside Google Sheets and Google Docs. (
script.container.ui) - Connect to an external service: used only to reach our licence server, to check your plan and to start a purchase (see below). (
script.external_request) - Your Google account ID: lets Google give the add-on a token, signed by Google, that holds your account ID (a number that identifies your Google account). It does not hold your name or email address. We use it only to link a purchase to your account. (
openid)
The add-on does not ask for your email address, your contacts, your Gmail or access to all of your Drive.
What stays with you
- Your label data never leaves Google and your browser. Rows are read in your Google account and turned into labels inside the add-on window in your browser. We do not store or see the contents of your sheet. Pictures you add (a logo) and lists you paste stay in your browser window unless you make a Google Doc (the label text goes into it) or save the PDF to Google Drive (the whole PDF, picture included, goes there); both are in your own Google account.
- Settings and saved designs (label layout, printer offset, the lines you set up with the column names they use, the sheet name, a return address or same text that you typed, and the last answer of the plan check: your plan, its end date and the email shown as "Licensed to") are stored in your own Google account through Google's user properties, visible only to you. They do not include the rows of your sheet.
What our server receives
- Plan check: when the add-on checks your plan, Google's servers send our licence server a token signed by Google that holds your Google account ID, plus technical fields such as when the token was issued and which app it is for. Our server checks Google's signature and answers with your plan. Nothing from your sheet is sent, and our server does not record plan checks.
- Starting a purchase: when you choose a paid plan, our server receives the same token, the plan you chose and your Google language setting (so the checkout page is in your language). It creates a checkout page at Stripe and gives Stripe your Google account ID (so the purchase is linked to your account), the plan and the language.
- At checkout: you type your email address and payment details on Stripe's page. We never see your card number. After you pay, Stripe tells our server the email address you typed, the amount, the currency and the payment reference.
- What we store for each purchase: your Google account ID; the email address you typed at checkout (the add-on shows it as "Licensed to"); the plan; the amount and currency; the purchase date; the end date of a year pass; the Stripe checkout and payment references; and whether the payment was refunded or disputed. For refunds and disputes we also keep the payment and dispute references and their dates, and we keep the IDs of Stripe's messages to us so none is processed twice.
- While a checkout is open: when you start a checkout we keep, with your Google account ID, its Stripe checkout reference and link, the plan, the language of the checkout page and when the link was made and stops working, so that one account never has two open checkouts it could pay twice. We delete this when your payment is recorded, or 30 days after the link stopped working. If you never start a checkout, our licence server stores nothing about you.
- How long: for as long as your plan lasts, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of sales.
- How we protect it: every connection to and from our licence server uses HTTPS. The server answers only requests that carry a token signed by Google for this add-on, and only about the account in that token, so nobody can look up someone else's plan. It accepts payment messages only when they carry Stripe's signature. The purchase records are kept in a Cloudflare database that is reachable only through our licence server and our Cloudflare account. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
Error reports
When a call from the add-on window to Google's servers fails, Google Cloud Logging (part of the Google Cloud project that runs the add-on) keeps the error message for a limited time. An error message can include the name of a sheet (tab) in your spreadsheet, for example 'The sheet "Guests" was not found', but not the contents of cells. Only we, and Google, which runs the logging, can read these logs.
Emails to support
"Email support" in the add-on opens an email in your own mail program. It is filled in with details you can read and change before you send: the labels chosen, the number of rows and labels, your language, your plan, your printer offset, your browser version and the last error code. It holds no sheet contents. We use the emails you send us only to answer you.
Service providers
- Google runs the add-on (Google Apps Script) and keeps the error reports above. Google's own privacy policy applies to your use of Google Sheets and Google Docs.
- Stripe handles payments: the checkout page, the card payment and the receipt. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment.
- Cloudflare hosts our licence server and its database. The add-on's calls come from Google's servers, not from your device, so Cloudflare sees the IP addresses of Google's servers, not yours.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) serves the add-on window's program code and fonts to your browser. Like any website, it receives your IP address. Fonts for other writing systems load only when your list needs them, so jsDelivr could tell from the font files which writing systems your list uses (for example Arabic or Japanese). No sheet data is sent.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages) serves this website and receives your IP address when you visit. These pages set no cookies and have no analytics or trackers of our own.
Why we use it
We use the purchase record to provide the plan you bought (our contract with you) and to keep the tax records the law requires. We use error reports to find and fix faults (our legitimate interest in a working add-on).
International transfers
Google, Stripe and Cloudflare are based in the United States, and jsDelivr serves files from servers around the world, so the data described here may be processed in the United States and other countries. Where data protection law requires it, we rely on the safeguards in these providers' data processing terms, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the purchase record we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing peelstack@taskivator.com. Deleting a purchase record ends the paid plan it belongs to, and we keep what tax law requires. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights, such as the right to object, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children and schools
Peelstack Label Maker is made for adults and organisations. Schools can use it under their Google Workspace for Education terms. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we never receive or store the contents of a sheet, such as a class list: a Google Doc or a PDF saved to Drive made with the add-on is in the user's own Google account.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Peelstack Label Maker's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model.
Removing the add-on
You can remove the add-on at any time (Extensions, Add-ons, Manage add-ons) and revoke its access in your Google Account (Security, Third-party apps). To delete your purchase record, email peelstack@taskivator.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we tell buyers by email before it applies.
