Print an address on an envelope

Type the address, add your return address if you like, pick the envelope size and download a PDF made to fit that envelope. Print it straight onto the envelope. Free, no sign up, and it runs in your browser: the addresses are not uploaded.

Several envelopes? Leave an empty line between addresses (up to 10).

Leave it empty for none.

The dashed boxes are guides: they print only in the Test PDF.

How to print it

  1. Open the PDF and print it at Actual size (100%). Turn off Fit to page and Fit to printable area.
  2. Paper size: the envelope size you picked. Each PDF page is exactly one envelope, turned sideways.
  3. Load the envelope the way your printer shows it: most printers have a small envelope picture by the paper tray or in the manual that shows the side and the direction.
  4. Try plain paper first. Tick "Test PDF", print one page on plain paper, hold it against an envelope and check where the address falls.

Questions

Can I print envelopes from Google Docs™?

Google Docs™ has no built in envelope tool like the Envelopes button in Microsoft Word. This page makes a PDF for the envelope instead; open it and print. For a whole list in Google Sheets™, the Peelstack Label Maker add-on prints one envelope for each row.

Where does the address go on the envelope?

On business envelopes (#10, #9, #6 3/4, DL, C5) right of centre and low, the way post offices expect; on card envelopes (A2, A6, A7, A9, C6) centred. The return address goes in the top left corner. The box positions are the same ones the Peelstack Label Maker add-on uses for each envelope size.

Which envelope sizes can I print?

US #10, #9, #6 3/4, A2, A6, A7 and A9, and the international DL, C6 and C5 sizes. Is yours not listed? Email the size to peelstack@taskivator.com.

The address is too long or does not fit.

The text shrinks to fit the address box, and the page tells you when an address had to be shortened. Remove a line, choose Normal text size or pick a bigger envelope.

Are my addresses sent anywhere?

No. The page and its fonts load from this website, then the preview and the PDF are made in your browser. The addresses you type are not uploaded. Like every page of this website, it counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and reports the page viewed, not what you type (see the privacy policy).

A whole mailing list?

This page prints up to 10 envelopes at a time. Peelstack Label Maker is our add-on for Google Sheets™: it prints one envelope or one label for each row of your sheet, with the same envelope sizes. Get Peelstack Label Maker from the Google Workspace™ Marketplace.
